Die Arbeit umfasst eine Zweikanal-Videoinstallation und ein begleitendes Buch. Ausgangspunkt sind historische Tanznotationen und die Frage nach ihrer heutigen Lesbarkeit. In der Videoarbeit setzen sich Tänzer*innen mit diesen Notationen auseinander: Sie dienen als Grundlage eines zeitlich begrenzten Probenprozesses, in dem sie gelesen, interpretiert und in Bewegung übersetzt werden. Die choreografischen Sequenzen rücken die Bewegung ins Zentrum und machen die Unschärfen zwischen Rekonstruktion und Improvisation sichtbar. Das begleitende Buch untersucht die Schnittstellen von Choreografie und Gestaltung und richtet den Fokus auf die räumlichen und materiellen Dimensionen von Notation, Bewegung und Schrift.

The work consists of a two-channel video installation and an accompanying book. The project is grounded in historical dance notations and the question of their legibility today. In this video work , dancers engage with these notations, which serve as the basis for a time-limited rehearsal process in which they are read, interpreted, and translated into movement. The choreographic sequences place movement at the center and reveal the ambiguities between reconstruction and improvisation. The accompanying book analyses the intersections between choreography and design, focusing on the spatial and material dimensions of notation, movement, and writing.
