Das Projekt kontrastiert analoge und digitale Posteingänge und reflektiert den Briefkasten sowohl als materielles Objekt als auch als metaphorische Figur. Die Buchstruktur verweist auf eine Stalking-Erfahrung, ohne sie explizit zu thematisieren. Gefühle wie Angst, Erwartung, Hoffnung und Einsamkeit verdichten sich in den Beiträgen. Zwei Schriftarten repräsentieren analoge und digitale Kommunikationsräume; die physischen Dimensionen des Briefkastens treten in Dialog mit der Ästhetik digitaler Interfaces. Essays, Artikel und Bildmaterial des Online-Archivs der „Museumsstiftung Post und Telekommunikation“ beleuchten soziale, private und mediale Facetten des Briefkastens. Neben der Funktion als Speicher- und Übergabeinstanz rücken Botschaft, Vermittlung, mediale Form und Materialität in den Fokus.

The project juxtaposes analog and digital inboxes, reflecting on the mailbox both as a material object and as a metaphorical figure. The structure of the book alludes to an experience of stalking without addressing it explicitly. Emotions such as fear, anticipation, hope, and loneliness intensify within the individual contributions. Two typefaces represent analog and digital communication spaces; the physical dimensions of the mailbox enter into a dialogue with the aesthetics of digital interfaces. Essays, articles, and visual material from the online archive of the Museum Foundation for Post and Telecommunications illuminate the social, private, and media-related facets of the mailbox. Beyond its function as a storage and transfer medium, the message itself—along with its mediation, media form, and materiality—comes into focus.
