Die gesellschaftliche Unsichtbarkeit lesbischer Frauen in der zweiten Lebenshälfte ist eng mit einem heteronormativen Blick und der Entsexualisierung älterer Frauen verknüpft. Das Projekt untersucht, wie diese Lebensrealitäten fotografisch sichtbar gemacht werden können, ohne auf eindeutige Codes, stereotype Reproduktionen oder Beweislogiken zurückzugreifen. Porträts, Interviews und private Archivfotografien werden im Fotobuch miteinander verwoben und durch persönliche Gegenstände auf einem begleitenden Ausstellungstisch ergänzt. Titel und Vorwort rahmen die Arbeit in einem Kontext, der es ermöglicht, auch historische Fotografien in der Gegenwart als lesbisch lesbar zu machen.

A Photographic Documentation Exploring the Visibility of Lesbian Women in the Second Half of their Lives
The social invisibility of lesbian women in the second half of life is closely linked to a heteronormative perspective and the desexualisation of older women. The project explores how these lived realities can be made visible through photography without relying on explicit codes, stereotypical representations, or logics of proof. Portraits, interviews, and private archival photographs are interwoven within a photo book and complemented by personal objects displayed on an accompanying exhibition table. The title and the foreword provide a contextual frame that allows photographs from earlier decades to be reread in the present and the women to be seen as lesbians.
