Öffentliche Räume sind zunehmend von Effizienz und Konsum geprägt. Orte für spontanes Verweilen, soziale Begegnung und Entschleunigung werden seltener – obwohl sie für das urbane Zusammenleben essenziell sind. Das Projekt schafft neue, frei zugängliche Aufenthaltsorte im Stadtraum. Ein modulares Stadtmöbel mit optionalen Add-ons und drehbaren Verbindungselementen ermöglicht vielfältige Geometrien – von zurückhaltenden, anonymen Anordnungen bis hin zu gemeinschaftsfördernden Konstellationen. Die Möbel docken an Bäume oder bestehende urbane Infrastrukturen an und passen sich flexibel unterschiedlichen räumlichen Situationen an. So entsteht ein System, das die Aufenthaltsqualität erhöht und den sozialen wie ökologischen Wert urbaner Räume stärkt.

Resting Structures in Public Spaces
Public spaces are increasingly shaped by efficiency and consumption. Places for spontaneous lingering, social interaction, and slowing down are becoming rarer—although they are essential for urban coexistence. The project creates new, freely accessible places to stay within the city. A modular urban furniture system with optional add-ons and rotating connectors enables diverse geometries—from restrained, anonymous arrangements to configurations that foster community. The elements attach to trees or existing urban infrastructure and adapt flexibly to different spatial contexts. The result is a system that enhances the quality of stay and strengthens the social as well as ecological value of urban spaces.
