Die Fertigungstechniken und die Konstruktionslogik der Espadrille dienen als Referenz und Ausgangspunkt für effizientere, nachhaltigere und vielseitigere zeitgenössische Schuhkonzepte. Durch den Einsatz zugänglicher Technologien wie 3D-Druck und die materialeffiziente Nutzung von Stoff werden Einfachheit, Materialreduktion und Modularität neu interpretiert. A disassemblable shoe made from a single folded rectangular piece of fabric, combined with a modular, interlocking 3D-printed sole and connecting elements. The manufacturing techniques and construction logic of the espadrille serve as a reference point and starting point for more efficient, sustainable, and versatile contemporary footwear concepts. By employing accessible technologies such as 3D printing and the material-efficient use of fabric, simplicity, material reduction, and modularity are reinterpreted. The result is a construction system of detachable and replaceable components that minimises material waste, enhances repairability, and extends the product’s lifespan.
