Ein Möbelobjekt, das die ästhetische Qualität von Imperfektion und Gebrauchsspuren untersucht und in Form eines Sideboards übersetzt. In einer von Perfektion geprägten Gestaltungskultur gilt Imperfektion oft als Mangel. Das Projekt macht hingegen ihr ästhetisches und gestalterisches Potenzial sichtbar. Theoretische Positionen zu Schönheit, Wabi-Sabi und dem Lesen von Spuren bilden die konzeptuelle Grundlage. Fotografisch dokumentierte und experimentell erforschte Gebrauchsspuren werden analysiert und in ein Möbelstück überführt, das durch Patina und zeitliche Veränderung ergänzt wird.

A furniture object that studies the aesthetic quality of imperfection and signs of use, transferring them into the form of a sideboard. In a design culture shaped by ideals of perfection, imperfection is often regarded as a flaw. This project, by contrast, reveals its aesthetic and creative potential. Theoretical perspectives on beauty, Wabi-Sabi, and the reading of traces form the conceptual foundation. Photographically documented and experimentally examined marks of use are analysed and transferred into a piece of furniture that is further enriched through patina and the passage of time.
